TFT Fingerprint Scanning
Precision Recognition, Large Display Sensor
TFT fingerprint scanning technology uses thin-film transistors (TFT) as the light-sensing element. The photoelectric conversion characteristics of amorphous silicon (a-Si) and low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) absorb light sources of different wavelengths. The sensor IC reads the photo leakage current difference of the array sensing components and converts them into digital grayscale images. AUO Display Plus (ADP) provides fingerprint scanning panels of different sizes and high resolutions (500 to 1000 pixels per inch (PPI)), which have thinness and large sensing area advantages, and can still provide clear images outdoors under bright light. It also supports multi-finger image capture to improve recognition accuracy and safety.
